Two POS Robbery Suspects, Beaten To Pulp In Delta
Two out of three POS robbery suspects have been beaten to a pulp at Onoharigho Street in Ughelli, Delta State.
The three suspects were allegedly trying to rob a female POS operator.
It was gathered that the female operator grabbed the trousers of one of the suspects defying the threat of gunshot.
The brave lady screamed at the top of her voice, alerting the public in the process.
The screams attracted youths in the area who pursued the suspects, apprehended them and beat them up to stupor.
Two of the suspects were caught while the third reportedly escape with their operational motorcycle and a cut-to-size local gun.
It was gathered that it took the timely intervention of some policemen from the Ughelli Area Command to stop the angry youths from burning the suspects alive.
A video footage showed the two suspects being beaten and in a pool of their blood.
The incident occurred on Monday, November 22, 2021, in the afternoon.
The suspects have been detained at the Police Area Command in Ughelli, while efforts are on to arrest the fleeing suspect.
The spokesman of the Delta Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe could not be reached for comment.
